MAXILLOFACIAL TRAUMA
The Maxillofacial Surgeon is in the prime position to treat facial trauma being trained in both medicine and dentistry. I have extensive trauma experience working in a Level I trauma Centre for over a decade. My interests lies in all aspects of facial trauma with particular reference to orbital and midface reconstruction. Multiple publications that I have written are on this website for your reference.

Other procedures also undertaken include mandibular trauma including condylar fractures, zygomatic complex and secondary reconstruction. I am happy to accept these referrals.

This is a patient who sustain a dramatic injury to the left face after a logging injury. The left picture demonstrates the orbital and cheek bones "squashed" into the face. The right photo is the post-operative result with plates and screws holding the bones together in the original pre-injury position.
